01Overview
These Expert Network Terms ("Expert Terms") summarize the agreement between HUMXN Data Labs ("HUMXN") and individuals approved to join its expert network ("Expert" or "you"). They apply each time you accept a brief, together with any brief-specific statement of work, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Privacy Policy.
This page is an overview. The binding terms are those you accept when you join the network. [Final expert agreement to be prepared by counsel, including jurisdiction-specific contractor classification review.]
02Eligibility and onboarding
You must be at least 18, legally able to enter into contracts and to perform paid work where you are located, and able to complete identity, tax and payout verification. Admission to the network is at our discretion, and acceptance does not guarantee any amount of work.
03Independent contractor status
You work as an independent contractor, not as an employee, worker, agent or partner of HUMXN. You decide whether to accept a brief and control how and when you perform the work, within the brief's requirements and deadlines. You are responsible for your own taxes, insurance, equipment and compliance with laws that apply to your business. Nothing in these Expert Terms creates an exclusive relationship.
04Briefs and rates
Each brief describes the task, quality criteria, expected volume, deadline and the rate. The rate is shown before you accept, and you are free to decline any brief. Changes to the scope or rate of an accepted brief require your agreement.
05Confidentiality of client briefs
Briefs, client identities, source materials, data and instructions you receive are confidential. You may use them only to perform the brief, must not disclose them to anyone, must not upload them to third-party tools or AI services unless the brief permits it, and must delete them when the brief ends or when we ask. These obligations continue after your participation ends.
06Intellectual property in work product
Work product you create under a brief, such as labels, annotations, written responses, evaluations, recordings or other deliverables, is [assigned to HUMXN / exclusively licensed to HUMXN on a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable basis — counsel to confirm] so that HUMXN can license it to buyers for AI training, evaluation and related purposes.
You confirm that your work product is your own original work, created without copying third-party material or using AI tools except as the brief permits, and that you will waive or not assert moral rights to the extent the law allows. You keep ownership of your pre-existing knowledge and skills.
07Quality review
Work product is reviewed against the brief's quality criteria, which may include a second-expert pass. Work that does not meet the criteria may be returned for correction or, where the brief says so, not accepted for payment. Repeated quality issues may result in fewer briefs or removal from the network. You can ask us to explain a quality decision.
08Payment
Payment for accepted work is made through Stripe to your verified payout account, after the work has passed review, on the schedule set out in the brief [e.g. within 14 days of acceptance — confirm]. You must complete Stripe's identity and payout verification before you can be paid. Payouts may be withheld for work connected to a breach of these Expert Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.
09No professional advice relationship
Your work product is training and evaluation data. It is not professional advice to any person, and performing a brief does not create a professional-client relationship (for example, doctor-patient or attorney-client) between you and HUMXN, a buyer, or anyone else.
10Your identity
We do not disclose your identity to buyers without your consent. Deliverables may record your verified qualifications and that the work was expert-reviewed, without naming you.
11Termination
You may leave the network at any time, subject to completing or handing back briefs you have accepted. We may suspend or end your participation for breach, quality reasons, or if we stop offering the service. Accepted, compliant work completed before termination will be paid. Confidentiality, intellectual property and payment provisions survive termination.
12Governing law and contact
