The work

Write complex fact patterns in your practice area with model answers; grade a model's analysis of statutes, case law and procedure against what the law actually says; identify where its reasoning would lose a motion or expose a client; draft the answer a partner would sign. Some projects compare two model drafts of a brief or a memo and ask which is better and exactly why.

Who it suits

  • JD and active bar admission; five or more years in litigation, with real motion practice and trial or arbitration experience.
  • Commercial, employment, IP, securities, antitrust, white-collar or appellate practice.
  • Precise, fast legal writing.

How it works

  • Apply with your CV and the hours you can give. 5 to 15 hours a week suits most people; the work is remote and on your own schedule.
  • We verify your credentials, licence or degree and your identity before any paid work. Every piece of work traces to a named, verified expert.
  • A paid calibration task on the project's own guidelines comes first.
  • You are paid at the rate on this page for every hour of work that passes review. Rates rise with the difficulty of the project and your track record.
